Week 8 Review: A Spark of Inspiration
Hi guys, welcome back. I hope your Monday is going great, mine is pretty rainy and dreary here in Kansas. This week, I chose to do my weekly review over a blog called 'A Spark of Inspiration'. I found this blog through 'pinterest' and thought it was very creative and fun. This blog helps teachers from all over find resources to help make their classroom the best it can be. It gives ideas to educators on lessons and classroom ideas that have worked well in the past. The biggest thing that I remember as being a future educator is that an individual doesn't wake up knowing it all on how to be a successful teacher but it is by the help of other great teachers and learning from what they have done and how they did it. I think that the world of educators is an amazing thing because we all are wanting to help make each other better than the teacher we were yesterday. This blog is one of many great blogs that I have come across in my browsing. Be sure to follow this blog on 'Facebook' to see updates on blog.
This blog is set up so nicely, it makes it so easy to find what you are looking for if you are in a hurry. If you are like me and like to take your time when searching for fun ideas, this blog is very engaging and makes it hard to look away. I do have to talk about the colors this blog uses, I LOVE bright fun colors, so this blog is so cute to me personally. I am a very artsy indivual and like things to be appealing to the eye, so this blog is PERFECT. One of my favorite things about this blog is that it indeed has a search bar and a 'find it fast' section. This is so nice because if you have been here before and maybe forgotten what the exact post was called, you can search by categories and hopefully find what you are looking for. This is an amazing aspect to a blog or website because it makes your visitors very happy when seeing an easier way to browse. This blog has an 'archives' making it easy to see what was posted and when. Overall, this blog is set up very very nicely. I love blogs like this one because we all need a little inspiration at times and this is perfect for educators across the globe.
Now I am going to talk about some of the specific things I found on this blog that I want to share with you. 'Amazon Wish List' was one of the many great posts I found while looking through this blog that I fell in love with. 'Amazon Wish List' is a post that shares ways to keep tabs on what you want while browsing on amazon making it easy to come back to. This is great for educators that have specific items in mind that need funding from the school. This gives both the educator and the school time to get the funds and organize lessons around the materials. Another great post(s) I found on this blog was 'sentence fluency' and 'build a word', I loved these because I personally want to teach lower grades where I would be teaching this material and this gave me creative ways to do so. With these blog posts comes a description of how a particular teacher taught the lesson and how it went overall. This is a great feature because if something might not of worked out for the best, you can easily tweak details to make it work perfectly for your specific class. I am big on reviews and how specific things worked in specific situations. It helps give me an idea of what to do differently or what to keep the same. Well guys, that's all I have for this weeks review but pleases come back next week for another great one. As always, thank you SO much for visiting my website. Have a GREAT week.
